DESCRIPTION


The Account Closure and Annuity Client Services (ACS) Team is a client facing group within Product Operations & Services (PO&S) that functions like a branch office within Wealth Management Operations. ACS supports clients whose assets have migrated from our traditional branch environment and temporarily serviced by our team until closure. They are responsible for approximately $1 billion in assets, ensuring accounts are serviced in a timely and seamless manner. The team reviews, processes, validates, and tracks account updates, modifications, and outgoing transactions.

The ACS Team Supervisor will supervise a team of Associates that are dedicated to supporting Morgan Stanley Advisors and clients on servicing accounts all the way through closure. Additional responsibilities include facilitating communication with the staff and various branches, as well as partnering with internal stakeholders to drive strategic projects. The position is ideal for an individual who is innovative, hardworking, and can thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Hiring and onboarding of new hires
  • Responsible for overseeing the team with a focus on client service, consistency, quality, and compliance with Firm policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the supervision of support staff, including managing their training and development
  • Manage the oversight and distribution of incoming workload from internal and external clients
  • Provide world class customer service to both internal and external clients in all interactions
  • Serve as the primary escalation contact, assisting associates with client service requests to ensure completion
  • Manage and ensure team operates in line with internal Service Level Agreements
  • Research and resolve problems with both internal and external clients accurately and in a timely manner
  • Keep current on SEC/FINRA, Compliance and Firm guidelines and apply to processing and all interactions to ensure risk mitigation
  • Participate in projects and/or remediation efforts as needed including pilot programs
  • Stay current on knowledge of strategic initiatives, technology, and job responsibilities within Morgan Stanley and the general financial industry
  • Identify and implement updates to procedures to improve efficiency and team performance #LI-JO1

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements
  • FINRA Series 7 (or 99), and 66 (or 63 & 65). Series 9/10 (or 8) preferred.
  • Four-year degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management or equivalent education and experience
  • 5+ years industry experience preferred

  • Exceptional organizational and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage relationships, motivate and lead groups of people at various levels
  • Evidence of strong leadership capabilities and previous supervisory experience
  • Basic knowledge of Morgan Stanley systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of the Wealth Management industry
  • Be self-motivated and able to work in a strong team and high activity environment

Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.
